Texas lands 4-star PF Royce Hamm

Shaka Smart landed a big piece for his 2017 recruiting class Friday as four-star power forward Royce Hamm announced his commitment to Texas.
The 6-foot-8 Hamm is listed as the fourth-best prospect in the state of Texas, and is listed 82nd overall on the ESPN 100.
The super-athletic Hamm will be a solid addition to Smart's up-tempo style which often sees the Longhorns implement full-court pressure on defense. His commitment continues Texas' success on the recruiting trail, as the Longhorns landed the 11th-best class in 2016, including prized 5-star center Jarrett Allen.
