Brian Campbell is going back to Chicago.

The club announced the signing of the free-agent defender to a one-year contract.

Campbell spent three years with the Blackhawks, from 2008 through 2011, winning a Stanley Cup with the club in 2010. He was traded to the Florida Panthers in 2011, and spent the last five seasons down south, never missing a regular-season game.
