It was Yogi Berra who once said "It ain't over 'til it's over," and his former team proved him right once again Wednesday night.

Down 7-3 after eight innings, the New York Yankees staged a furious six-run ninth-inning rally capped by a Didi Gregorius walk-off homer to steal a 9-7 win from the visiting Texas Rangers.

Texas appeared to be in cruise control when Adrian Beltre's eighth-inning homer pushed its lead to 7-2. Yankees catcher Brian McCann responded in the bottom half, though, smacking his first home run of the game to cut Texas' lead to five, and set the stage for the dramatic ninth.

Matt Bush and Sam Dyson couldn't even get one out for the Rangers in the ninth. A Brett Gardner RBI single cut the lead to 7-4, then McCann hit his second homer of the game - a three-run shot this time - off Dyson to knot the contest at 7-7. Two batters later, Gregorius ended the night with his first career walk-off homer into the right-field bleachers - and was given an enjoyable Gatorade bath for his efforts.

New York's rally marked just the second time in 2016 that a team has come back from four runs down or more in the ninth inning to win.
