Auburn lands coveted 4-star RB Kameron Martin

Just days after Baylor granted his release, Kameron Martin has found his new home, as the coveted four-star running back announced his commitment to Auburn Sunday.

The Port Arthur, Texas native is ranked by ESPN as the 17th-best running back in the 2016 class, and originally committed to play for Art Briles at Baylor in 2014. After the school fired the embattled coach late in May, Martin was one of the signees who requested his release from the Bears.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pounder visited with Auburn this past weekend, and pledged his commitment to the Tigers just before the NCAA mandated recruiting dead period begins on Monday.

Martin will be available immediately, and should give head coach Gus Malzahn's potent rushing attack another solid weapon.
