4-star WR Jhamon Ausbon commits to LSU

Nelson Chenault-US PRESSWIRE

LSU landed a big piece for the future of its offense Saturday, as four-star wide receiver Jhamon Ausbon announced on Twitter he's committed to the Tigers.

The 6-foot-3, 217-pounder is one of the biggest receivers in the 2017 recruiting class, and is ranked as the 139th overall prospect on the ESPN 300.

Ausbon was being courted by a number of Power 5 programs, and the fact Les Miles and the Tigers were able to lure him out of the state of Florida represents a significant move for the program.

A year after landing one of the nation's top recruiting classes, LSU is well on its way to repeating that success. Ausbon's commitment marks the ninth four-star recruit who has already pledged to the Tigers, including the nation's top dual-threat quarterback in Lowell Narcisse.
