Brandon Marshall reveals Lions' Tate as favorite WR

New York Jets wide receiver Brandon Marshall was asked who his favorite player at his position is, and his answer may surprise you.

Marshall wasn't allowed to choose himself, during his Twitter question and answer session Tuesday. Instead of taking the diplomatic route or selecting an obvious All-Pro, Marshall's choice was none other than Detroit Lions wideout Golden Tate.

Tate caught 90 passes for 813 yards and six touchdowns last season and earned a Pro Bowl selection in 2014. The two have never been teammates at any level, so Marshall's pick seems genuine.

Marshall's teammate, Eric Decker, seemed somewhat miffed.

Tate is expected to become the Lions' top receiver after Calvin Johnson retired, and he's got the unlikely support of Marshall.
