LSU's Harris: 'I have the best arm in college football'

LSU is counting on a bounceback season from its quarterback, and Brandon Harris knows it.

In speaking to reporters Friday at the Manning Passing Academy, Harris admitted his struggles caused the Tigers to melt down in the second half of last year, and acknowledged he needs to show significant improvement in 2016.

"I feel like I have the best arm in college football, the best team in college football," he said, according to The Advocate's Ross Dellenger. "I take full responsibility for last year. I was terrible. I was bad. Didn't live up to expectation."

After managing to avoid throwing an interception for the first seven games last season - during which LSU was a perfect 7-0 - Harris coughed up six in the final five contests. The Tigers dropped three of those games, and fell off the national radar in what turned out to be yet another disappointing campaign for the Purple and Gold.

Harris' poor play wasn't limited to the end of the season, though, as he failed to register double-digit completions in five of LSU's 12 total games. His completion rate for the season finished at a woeful 53.8 percent.
