Skal Labissiere doesn't have a degree, but he believes the one-year crash course he received at Kentucky might as well be worth one on the basketball court.

"People say that six months at Kentucky doesn't prepare you for the NBA, but the way I see it, talking to other guys from other schools, six months at Kentucky is equivalent to five years at another school," Labissere told reporters Wednesday in New York, roughly 24 hours before the 2016 NBA Draft.

"I've talked to some guys from other schools that haven't done skill work in four years. It's just like, 'Wow, Kentucky is just a different place.'"

Although Labissiere's one season in Lexington was rather uneventful, he's still expected to be a lottery pick Thursday night. If it happens, the Haitian-born forward would join the long lineage of John Calipari-coached players to become lottery picks, which should also include his Kentucky teammate, Jamal Murray.

In his lone campaign with the Wildcats, Labissiere produced 6.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per game.
