Michigan State lands 4-star DE Lashawn Paulino-Bell

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

Michigan State picked up another verbal commitment for its 2017 recruiting class Monday, as four-star defensive end Lashawn Paulino-Bell announced he was joining the Spartans.

The 6-foot-4, 240-pounder's commitment represents a huge pickup for coach Mark Dantonio and the Big Ten program, as they were able to nab Paulino-Bell out of Florida over a number of other schools.

Paulino-Bell is ranked as the 33rd-best defensive end in the country by ESPN, and the 64th overall prospect in the talent-rich state of Florida.
