Retired two-time MVP Steve Nash is taking the pitch later in June to defend his charity soccer title.

This year's challenger will feature former U.S. national team playmaker Landon Donovan, along with a host of yet-to-be-announced celebrities.

The event aims to raise funds for the Steve Nash Foundation. The charity match will be played June 22 at Sara D. Roosevelt Park in New York City.

Former participants include NBA notables Chris Bosh, Joakim Noah, Baron Davis, Grant Hill, Kyrie Irving, Jeremy Lin, Dirk Nowitzki, and others. Soccer stars from across the world such as Patrick Vieira, Jozy Altidore, Demba Ba, and Thierry Henry have also participated in previous years.
