With each passing day, the scandal at Baylor stemming from a series of mishandled reports of sexual assaults only gets worse.

The latest development came Wednesday, with three unnamed women filing a Title IX lawsuit against the university, according to a report from Paul K. Gately of KWTX.

The women, who are each listed as Jane Doe on the lawsuit, allege they were sexually assaulted while students at the university and that one of the incidents was committed by a player on the football team.

The alleged victims claim Baylor failed to respond to their reports of abuse, misled them about their own rights, and created a situation where the school did not protect students on campus. The suit alleges Baylor "failed to adequately investigate each and every one of the events the Plaintiffs reported in violation of Title IX."

The incidents allegedly took place in 2004, 2012, and 2014 and other than the fact one of the alleged assailants was a football player at the time, none of their identities have been revealed.

This comes after a lawsuit was filed in March by Jasmin Hernandez, another former Baylor student who claimed the school was "deliberately indifferent" when she reported she had been raped by Tevin Elliott, then a member of the Bears football team.
