Former Florida guard Brandone Francis-Ramirez has decided that Texas Tech is the right program for him.

The Dominican Republic native was a high prospect coming out of high school but never found his stride with the Gators, averaging just two points and one rebound in nearly eleven minutes of play last year.

"As a student I will be full time at Texas Tech and as a basketball athlete I will be playing full time for Texas Tech men's basketball," said the 6-foot-5 guard on his Twitter account.

"It's very important to me that all of the people who recruited me this time around who I won't be signing with know that I am very grateful.

"I want to thank Florida for an amazing college experience. I will cherish the memories and all the relationships that I made here."

Due to NCAA transfer regulations, he'll have to sit out next season with Texas Tech before becoming eligible to play in the 2017-18 campaign.
