The Phoenix Suns have made a trade with the Sacramento Kings and selected Washington's Marquese Chriss with the eighth pick in the 2016 NBA Draft.

The Kings received 13th overall pick Georgios Papagiannis and 28th overall pick Skal Labissiere in the 2016 NBA Draft, Bogdan Bogdanovic, and the second round pick in 2020.

Chriss is as good an athlete as you'll find in this year's crop of first-year talent. He possesses the physical intangibles to be a prototypical NBA big, but is agile enough to step out and defend the perimeter if need be, while also getting up around the basket to either block shots or finish at the rim.

His shooting touch from long range also can't be ignored, having connected on 35 percent of his 3-point attempts in his only season with the Huskies.

At just 18 years old, Chriss is a long-term investment which could pay dividends down the road. He still has a lot of work to do in the gym when it comes to adding muscle so he can body NBA bigs, as he does tend to shy away from contact. Keeping his fouls under control (ejected from 15 of 34 total games) will also be key.
