Arkansas transfer Evans planning to join Kansas

Former Arkansas running back Denzell Evans appears set on where to continue his college career.

Evans told Matt Tait of KUSports.com that he is hoping to graduate this summer and use his final two seasons of eligibility at Kansas.

"It’s as done as it’s gonna be without me signing," he said. "I just want to focus on school, develop my game and be ready to go when I touch down in Lawrence."

Evans still needs to complete some classes in order to be immediately eligible this season, something he feels will happen.

"There’s no question about it," Evans added. "After the second summer session, I’ll be done. No summer for me. It’s all work right now. I’ll have plenty of free time later in life."

The junior is transferring in search of more playing time, after receiving just six carries in 2015. Evans was reportedly eyeing SMU as a landing spot as well, but the Jayhawks now appear to be his destination.
