Mike D'Antoni was introduced as the Houston Rockets new head coach Wednesday, and the terms of his contract are for three years and $15 million, according to ESPN's Calvin Watkins. The deal reportedly has a team option for a fourth year.

"One thing I've learned when ownership and the general manager wants to play a certain style, I want to coach a certain style, they all align then you have a chance," D'Antoni told reporters at the news conference. "It's not foolproof, but you have a chance to succeed."

Less than two years ago, Rockets owner Leslie Alexander gave then-coach Kevin McHale a three-year extension worth $12 million. McHale was fired last November.
