Injured Hossler sends Texas to NCAA golf final with 30-foot putt

Beau Hossler burst onto the golf scene four years ago when he briefly grabbed the lead during the second round of the 2012 U.S. Open at just 17 years old.

Now a junior at Texas, Hossler put together an epic performance Tuesday as his college career comes to a close at the NCAA Men's Golf championships.

In a semifinal match against USC's Andrew Levitt, Hossler suffered a shoulder injury at No. 15, but decided to play through the pain. After chipping in to save par at No. 16, Hossler putted out of a bunker to set up this par putt from the fringe at No. 17:

Hossler's incredible 30-footer clinched a 2&1 victory and booked Texas a ticket to Wednesday's final against Oregon, which will feature five individual matches. It's the program's first final since 2012 when the Longhorns won the championship on a team featuring Jordan Spieth.

Despite Hossler appearing to be in agony while swinging the club late in his round, he hasn't yet been ruled out of play Wednesday, and the 21-year-old is remaining optimistic:
