Curry relishing home-court advantage ahead of Game 7

The Golden State Warriors have dug themselves out of a 3-1 series deficit and now have the chance to advance to the NBA Finals for a second straight season with a win Monday in Game 7 against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

While winning an NBA-record 73 regular-season games doesn't mean much if the Warriors fall short of a championship, that record continues to pay dividends with Golden State holding home-court advantage for the duration of its postseason run.

That advantage guaranteed the Warriors will play at home in Oracle Arena for their elimination game - where they've gone 46-3 this season.

"This is why the regular season was important for us to secure home-court advantage throughout the playoffs," Curry told reporters Monday. "It's for games like tonight. We don't take that lightly. This is a great opportunity, and I know that every fan that's in Oracle Arena and around the Bay Area is going to be supporting us to bring that energy.

"We're going to bring it, too."

The Warriors, who open as seven-point favorites, have closed out each of their previous two series at home. Oklahoma City, however, are the only team these playoffs to win at Oracle Arena, and Curry acknowledged that closing out the series will be far from easy.

"We have 48 minutes to claw ourselves out of the grave and advance," Curry said. "What more could you ask for? It's going to be a fun night."
