KD Cannon vows to finish college career at Baylor

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Amid a great deal of speculation regarding his future, star wide receiver KD Cannon stated emphatically Friday night that he'll finish his college career in the same place it started.

Cannon was rumored to be considering a transfer out of Waco after Baylor fired head coach Art Briles on Thursday. The Bears have already lost multiple recruits in wake of the firing, and is at risk of losing disgruntled roster players to transfers.

Cannon, who'll be a junior this season, posted 50 receptions for 868 yards and six touchdowns last year. With Baylor's quarterback recovered from various injuries and Corey Coleman now in the NFL, Cannon should have an opportunity to get back over the 1,000-yard mark.

Two years ago, a then-freshman Cannon hauled in 58 catches for 1,030 yards and eight scores.
