The Chicago Bears agreed to terms with linebacker Leonard Floyd on a four-year contract, the team confirmed Friday.

Floyd's contract includes a fifth-year option.

The Bears selected Floyd ninth overall out of Georgia last month. Chicago traded with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to move up two spots, in order to draft Floyd.

Floyd recorded 10 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks during his final season at Georgia, earning second-team All-SEC honors.

The 23-year-old is expected to compete against Pernell McPhee and Lamarr Houston for playing time at outside linebacker.
