The CMT Music Awards have found a new co-host in Houston Texans star pass-rusher J.J. Watt.

Watt's co-host, Erin Andrews, made the announcement Wednesday:

The fan-voted awards show honoring the best country music videos will air live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., on June 8 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CMT.

Watt won't be the only NFL player to host an awards show this summer, as Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is slated to host the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Sports Awards for a second straight year in July.
