Rex Ryan denies involvement in Bills' controversial new media policy

The Buffalo Bills' new media policy, which prohibits reporters from sharing information like receivers dropping passes in training camp, was met with an outcry from the media and fans alike.

It's currently unclear who's idea it was, but head coach Rex Ryan made it clear Tuesday that he had no part in it.

"Our media policy isn't something that I'm involved with," Ryan said, according to ESPN's Mike Rodak.

Ryan then proceeded to point to a team spokesman for any further questions about the limitations forced upon the Bills' beat writers.

With the reaction to the policy, it's no surprise that Ryan wasn't keen to take even a portion of the blame.

The Bills clarified their stance after Tuesday's practice, and appeared to quickly back off their rigid rules for reporters:
