Exactly how Hunter Pence drew it up.

The San Francisco Giants outfielder hit a pinch-hit walk-off pop-up against the San Diego Padres in the bottom of the ninth inning to give his club a 1-0 win Monday night.

What looked to be a routine fly ball to shallow right field ended up being scored a walk-off double, as the Padres couldn't settle under the ball. Alexi Amarista backed off, while Matt Kemp ended up diving in vain.

Pence batted for starting pitcher Johnny Cueto, who hurled another masterful start. It was Cueto's second straight complete game, both against the Padres, who must be awfully sick of him. It was actually the third time he's gone the distance against San Diego this season. He allowed only two hits and struck out six, dropping his ERA to a stellar 2.38.

The Giants have whipped the Padres this season, winning all seven games against San Diego. San Francisco's won 11 of 12 overall, and leads the National League West.
