Blazers' McCollum zings Heat fan over Hassan Whiteside
Robert Duyos-USA TODAY Sports
Hassan Whiteside posted a video of a pretty dope-looking red velvet cake Thursday, leading to numerous social media accolades. One of them came from Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum. That's when a protective Miami Heat fan may have concluded that the cake adoration was in fact a sub-layer of free-agency recruitment.
Retorted McCollum:
Oh snap.
The Heat do not own Whiteside's Bird Rights because they signed him to a two-year minimum salary contract in 2014 when he was an unproven player. He's about to get maxed out by somebody, somewhere. Heat president Pat Riley has said retaining Whiteside is the team's "No. 1 priority, period."
