The Milwaukee Bucks are in the process of signing head coach Jason Kidd to a contract extension, league sources told The Vertical's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Kidd is entering the final year of a three-year deal which he agreed to after departing the Brooklyn Nets in the summer of 2014.

The Bucks were one of the league's bigger disappointments this past season, winning just 33 games and falling short of the playoffs after going an even 41-41 during Kidd's first year on the job.

The team ranked 24th in offense (102.2 points per 100 possessions) and 22nd in defense (105.7 points allowed per 100 possessions), which was expected to continue being a staple of Milwaukee's success after finishing second the year prior.

The organization will also reportedly bring on current Utah Jazz assistant GM Justin Zanik as their "general manager-in-waiting," as current GM John Hammond has just one year remaining on his contract.
