RG3: 'I'm so far removed from Washington'

Robert Griffin III doesn't want to talk about his strained relationship with and eventual exit from the Washington Redskins.

A profile of Griffin by The Undefeated's Jason Reid published Wednesday describes the quarterback's eventual separation from the Redskins, including a meeting in which Griffin reportedly demanded 19 plays be removed from the playbook.

Griffin, now with the Cleveland Browns, denied to comment on the story later in the day.

"Man, I'm so far, so far removed from Washington now and focused on this opportunity here in Cleveland that I don't even worry about those things anymore," Griffin said. "You know, I can only focus on what I can control and that's here in Cleveland, being with the Dawg Pound, being with my teammates every single day. So, I just focus on those things and I didn't even see that story."

Griffin was once deemed the Redskins' savior after being selected second overall in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Baylor, where he captured the Heisman Trophy in his final collegiate season. The 26-year-old won Offensive Rookie of the Year in his first campaign, but rapidly declined in the two subsequent campaigns, and was benched outright in favor of Kirk Cousins in 2015.

Although Griffin's been granted a fresh start with the Browns, it appears he's still a magnet for controversy.
