The Philadelphia 76ers enter the 2016 Draft Lottery on Tuesday with a 25 percent chance of winning the first overall pick.

The weighted lottery fixture has been in existence in the NBA since 1990, but there are no guarantees the worst regular-season team will land the top pick. Only four teams in the last 26 years that have entered with the highest probability have actually gone on to land the top pick.

Here's a look back at the five most unlikely draft lottery winners:

Nets (2000)

Year: 2000
Record: 31-51 (7th worst)
Probability: 4.4 percent
Selection: Kenyon Martin

Despite owning only the seventh-best odds to win the 2000 Draft Lottery, the Nets landed the first overall pick and selected Martin. The draft class is now heralded as the worst in NBA history with only three players going on to become All-Stars. The Los Angeles Clippers, who finished 15-67, would land the third overall pick.

Cavaliers (2011)

Year: 2011 (Pick via Clippers)
Record: 32-50 (8th worst)
Probability: 2.8 percent
Selection: Kyrie Irving

The Cavaliers landed their first No.1 pick since LeBron James in 2003 when they won the draft lottery in 2011 and selected Irving. Cleveland had two opportunities to land the top selection that year, and actually won the lottery with the Clippers pick - which had a 2.8 percent chance of winning. The Irving selection was also the first the Cavaliers had since James left the team for Miami.

Cavaliers (2014)

Year: 2014
Record: 33-49 (9th worst)
Probability: 1.7 percent
Selection: Andrew Wiggins

The Cavaliers continued to dominate the lottery following the post-LeBron era, winning the top pick for the third time in four years in 2014. Cleveland vaulted up from the ninth-best odds to claim the first selection, and took Kansas phenom Wiggins. The Milwaukee Bucks, who had the best odds, landed the second-overall pick. Wiggins would be traded shortly thereafter to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Kevin Love.

Bulls (2008)

Year: 2008
Record: 33-49 (9th worst)
Probability: 1.7 percent
Selection: Derrick Rose

The Bulls had only 17 of the 1,000 pingpong ball combinations, equaling just a 1.7 percent chance of landing the first overall pick in 2008. They won the lottery over the Miami Heat, who finished the regular season 15-67 and ended up taking Michael Beasley with the second pick. Chicago would end up taking hometown kid Rose with its selection and he'd go on to win NBA MVP in 2011.

Magic (1993)

Year: 1993
Record: 41-41 (11th worst)
Probability: 1.52 percent
Selection: Chris Webber

After taking Shaquille O'Neal first overall in 1992, the Magic won the draft lottery for a second straight year in 1993 despite having the worst odds. They would take Michigan star Webber and immediately flip him to the Golden State Warriors for Anfernee Hardaway and three future first-round draft picks. In October 1993, the NBA would modify the lottery system to give the league's worst team a higher chance at winning.
