Watch: Fuming Casilla storms off after getting lifted in 9th

Bruce Bochy had no problem lifting closer Santiago Casilla from Thursday's game with two outs in the ninth, as the longtime San Francisco Giants manager called it a "no-brainer" bringing on left-hander Javier Lopez to face lefty-swinging Jake Lamb with the bases loaded and his team's 4-2 lead looking tenuous.

Casilla didn't see it that way, though.

Despite already blowing three saves in 10 chances this year, Casilla was none too pleased about getting the hook, and he let his manager (as well as the 19,461 in attendance at Chase Field) know it as he left the field. Heading into the series opener, after all, the 35-year-old right-hander had managed a 2.03 ERA and 0.75 WHIP this year, the blown saves notwithstanding.

Still, Bochy had no qualms about yanking Casilla one out away from notching his 100th save in a Giants uniform.

"That was an easy one," Bochy told MLB.com's Barry M. Bloom. "Casilla, he's emotional. He wants to be the guy out there. We have a veteran lefty. They were out of hitters. You don't mind guys being competitive and not wanting to come out, but he probably got a little too emotional there.

"He just didn't want to come out. We've got a guy out there, that's his job. He's the guy I wanted."
