There was no doubt in Kevin Durant's mind that Draymond Green would escape suspension for kicking Oklahoma City Thunder teammate Steven Adams in the groin in Game 3.

Not because Green didn't deserve it, but because Durant believes the NBA wouldn't suspend one of it's star players.

"I didn't even think it was something we should even be talking about," Durant told reporters Tuesday. "They're not going to suspend Draymond Green. He's one of the premier players in the league on arguably one of the best teams in the history of the game.

"They're not going to suspend him. I didn't really think about it. I knew the league was going to let him play, or fine him and upgrade him to a flagrant-2. We all knew that was going to happen. The league is about business."

Green was initially handed a flagrant-1 foul on the play. The NBA upgraded it to a flagrant-2, and fined him $25,000 after determining the foul was "unnecessary and excessive."

Both Green and Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr argued the kick was unintentional, and a product of Green trying to sell the contact. Green also said he would apologize, though Adams said it wouldn't matter.

The teams square off Tuesday in Game 4, with the Thunder leading the series 2-1.
