Ole Miss lands 4-star DE Bryan Jones

Justin Ford-USA TODAY Sports

The drama surrounding Ole Miss in the wake of the Laremy Tunsil draft scandal hasn't slowed recruiting, as Hugh Freeze landed a commitment from four-star defensive end Bryan Jones on Monday.

"I will be furthering my education and football career at Ole Miss," Jones wrote on Twitter. "I am now a Rebel. My main focus now is to help my team win a state championship."

The 6-foot-5, 237-pound Jones is ranked as the 16th best defensive end prospect in the country, and comes in 163rd overall on the ESPN 300. His commitment comes after the school landed four-star defensive end Charles Wiley in last year's class, and once Jones arrives on campus for the 2017 season, the Rebels should have a formidable pass rush.

Jones is a very long and athletic pass rusher, who will have to pack on weight to contribute effectively in defending the run. Provided he puts on size, he should be a solid contributor for the Rebels starting in the 2017 season.
