The underwhelming Florida career of guard Brandone Francis-Ramirez has come to an end, as the Dominican Republic native is transferring out of the program, the school confirmed Tuesday.

Francis-Ramirez was a highly touted recruit in the class of 2014, ranked as the 35th-best recruit in the country by ESPN. Along with forward Devin Robinson and guard Chris Chiozza, the guard's commitment helped the Gators take home the 13th-best class in the country.

Despite the accolades following Francis-Ramirez from high school, his career at Florida has been largely disappointing. He averaged just two points and one rebound in 10 minutes of action per game this season and never managed to find a fit in new coach Mike White's system.

While the underwhelming production may scare off some programs, Francis-Ramirez will likely be a hot transfer prospect due to his high school statistics. As per NCAA transfer regulations, he will be forced to sit out the 2016-17 campaign before becoming eligible.
