Jake Arrieta just can't be stopped right now.
First, the reigning National League Cy Young winner wiggled out of a small first-inning jam unscathed. Then he helped his own cause by driving in the Cubs' second run of the game Tuesday with an RBI single off Jonathon Niese.
Arrieta - who now has four hits and three RBIs on the season - notably displayed his hitting skills in April by crushing a 442-foot home run.
When he wasn't wielding a hot bat, Arrieta was busy dominating the Pirates on the hill, departing after seven shutout innings of two-hit ball while striking out five.
