Report: Eagles told Bradford about draft plans before trade

Sam Bradford and his agent have not been happy campers since the Philadelphia Eagles made their trade up to select quarterback Carson Wentz.

The quarterback's agent stated he was angry that the Eagles did not share their draft plans with Bradford and his camp prior to making their move, but ESPN's Sal Paolantonio reports that the Eagles say they were up front with their strategy.

"(Eagles coach Doug Pederson) told me that he told Bradford and Chase Daniel up front that they were going to draft a quarterback, and they were going to try to nurture him for the future, and they expected Bradford and Daniel to be part of that, but that this year Bradford would be the starter," Paolantonio told the "Mike & Mike" show, Pro Football Talk reports. "And they were shocked when they told Bradford that they were going up to No. 2 and they were making the trade and investing five picks, and Bradford's reaction was one of anger, and he abruptly walked out of the offseason training program."

Paolantonio also said that Bradford has been ignoring texts from Pederson and other members of the Eagles organization.

The Eagles have been adamant that they don't plan to trade Bradford unless a team is ready to pay a hefty price after the quarterback requested a trade. Bradford signed a two-year contract with the Eagles in February.
