Top pitching prospect Jose Berrios lasted just four-plus innings in his major-league debut Wednesday night against the Cleveland Indians, but the Minnesota Twins righty displayed an electric fastball and a devastating curve while amassing five strikeouts.

Berrios was touched up for five runs on six hits and walked two on 93 pitches, but Twins manager Paul Molitor is chalking the shaky outing up to nerves.

"Jose obviously (was) a little amped up. I don't think we saw him at his best," Molitor said post-game. "His command wasn't particularly sharp ... Most likely, he's going to get another shot."

Molitor alluding to the 21-year-old hurler remaining with the club for at least one more start is a challenge Berrios welcomes.

"I felt great. I felt strong. I was throwing 93, 94, sometimes 96 (mph)," Berrios said. "I'll be ready for the next one."

Berrios was selected in the first round of the 2012 draft (32nd overall) and is the 16th-ranked prospect in baseball, according to MLB.com.
