With Corey Maggette being sidelined with an injury, English saw some unexpected playing time in the Pistons' season-opening loss to the Rockets. He apparently had a few rookie-type mistakes as well but all in all, he had an impressive debut in Detroit. His minutes may reduce with Maggette's return but if he continues to impress in the opportunities he is given, it will be hard to keep him off the floor.
