Indiana's Jacob Robinson arrested for alcohol-related offense

Nearly 150 people were slapped with suspicion of alcohol-related offenses at the Little 500 bicycle races in Indiana this past weekend, and one of them was Hoosiers defensive lineman Jacob Robinson.

Robinson, who just completed his first year with the program, lied to police about his age twice and failed a portable breath test. He was arrested on the charge of false informing and illegal consumption, a police official told Justin Mack of the Indianapolis Star.

The 19-year-old, who falls two years under the state's legal drinking age, registered four tackles during his true freshman season for the Hoosiers. He was deemed eligible for the Monroe County's pretrial diversion program, which allows first-time offenders to avoid a criminal conviction by paying a fine or completing community service.
