Washington State's Hawkinson, Clifford, Iroegbu to test NBA draft waters

Washington State could look very different next year as three players are testing the NBA draft waters.

Juniors Josh Hawkinson, Conor Clifford, and Ike Iroegbu have all declared for the 2016 NBA Draft, but will not hire agents, maintaining their college eligibility.

"In today's climate, with the opportunity for players to be evaluated and have the opportunity to be invited to the NBA Draft Combine without hiring an agent, I fully support the decision that Conor, Josh and Ike have made to declare for the NBA draft," Cougars head coach Ernie Kent said in a statement.

Hawkinson was a standout performer throughout the 2015-16 season, leading the team in scoring with 15.4 points per contest. The 6-foot-10 forward's 11.1 rebounds per game led the Pac-12 conference for the second year in a row.

Iroegbu was second on the Cougars with 12.7 points per game, while Clifford netted just 6.8 points per game.

All three players have until May 25 to remain in the draft or decide to return to the college ranks.
