Tate to defend title against Nunes at UFC 200

Miesha Tate will defend her women's bantamweight title against fourth-ranked Amanda Nunes at UFC 200 on July 9, the UFC announced Wednesday.

Tate (18-5) won the title from Holly Holm at UFC 196 on March 5 in the fifth round with a rear-naked choke.

Nunes (12-4) has won her last three fights, most recently defeating Valentina Shevchenko with a unanimous-decision victory at UFC 196. Nine of Nunes' 12 career victories have come via TKO.

Tate and Nunes join a card that's already set to include: Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor, Jim Miller vs. Takanori Gomi, Sage Northcutt vs. Enrique Marin, Diego Sanchez vs. Joe Lauzon, Gegard Mousasi vs. Derek Brunson, Johny Hendricks vs. Kelvin Gastelum, Cain Velasquez vs. Travis Browne, and Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar.
