This Story just keeps getting better.

Colorado Rockies rookie Trevor Story became the first player in major-league history to hit homers in each of his first three career games after drilling a two-run shot during the first inning of Wednesday's game against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Story's record-breaking week included an unprecedented two home runs on Opening Day, the first time that's happened in a player's MLB debut. He continued his offensive barrage Tuesday, launching his third homer to become the second player since 1900 with three homers in his first two games.

The Rockies shortstop played his way into an everyday role this spring, forcing Rockies manager Walt Weiss to name him as a replacement for Jose Reyes, who's on leave until MLB commissioner Rob Manfred completes an investigation of the veteran under the league's domestic violence policy.
