Lamar Robbins reinstated at USF

Jonathan Dyer / USA TODAY Sports

After being suspended in October for allegedly firing a gun on campus, South Florida cornerback Lamar Robbins has been reinstated, according to head coach Willie Taggart.

"He's back on the team," Taggart said. "He's like all the other guys. He's handled his business. He took care of his consequences. He learned from his mistakes and now he's out there with the rest of the guys, trying to win a job."

Robbins and offensive lineman Benjamin Knox were charged after the Bulls' win over Syracuse on Oct. 10, and were consequently suspended for the season.

Knox has since transferred to Independence Community College in Kansas.
