Deshaun Watson just missed out on capturing the Heisman in 2015, but one former teammate thinks it won't be long before the Clemson quarterback can add the award to his trophy case.

Former Tigers pass rusher Shaq Lawson discussed Watson at the NFL combine Friday, saying the signal caller "will definitely win the Heisman next year."

It's a bold statement when you consider the candidates that figure to be contending for the award in 2016. Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffrey, Seth Russell, Baker Mayfield, and J.T. Barrett are just a handful of players that will have a chance to capture the Heisman.

Watson, though, figures to have as good a chance as anyone. After a season that saw the Clemson pivot throw for more than 4,100 yards, run for more than 1,100, and accumulate 47 total touchdowns, it's hard to bet against him.
