North Carolina's run-game was enough to carry the Tar Heels to their 11th consecutive victory, topping N.C. State 45-34.

The Heels jumped out to a 35-7 lead in the first quarter, but 17 unanswered Wolf Pack points provided some drama before North Carolina sealed the deal, courtesy of an Elijah Hood touchdown.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Hood was the star of the game, as the sophomore running back rushed for 220 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.
  • T.J. Logan and quarterback Marquise Williams rushed for 100 and 53 yards respectively, accumulating for the remainder of North Carolina's 376 rushing yards.
  • Williams wasn't spectacular passing the ball, but made throws when he needed to, finishing 19-for-30 with 174 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
  • Williams became the school's all-time leader in total offense, passing Darian Durant's mark of 9,632.
  • Eleven games is the longest win streak in North Carolina history.
  • N.C. State leaned heavily on the run game as well, rushing for 308 yards. Quarterback Jacoby Brissett led the way with 128.
  • 2015 marks the fourth time in school history North Carolina has reached 11 wins.
  • North Carolina now leads the Tar Heel State rivalry 66-33-6.
