Michigan's Jim Harbaugh shocked by unexpected call from Michael Jordan

Jim Harbaugh should always answer calls from unknown numbers - especially since Michael Jordan may be on the other end of the line.

The Michigan head coach regaled the media on Thursday with the tale of how he got a call from an unknown number and it ended up being the greatest basketball player to ever grace the court turned business mogul.

"My phone rang and it was a number I didn't know. I said 'hello,' but I didn't catch the whole name. You know how sometimes a cell phone cuts out?" Harbaugh explained, according to MLive. "I got part of it and said 'excuse me, the phone cut out, who is this?' And he said 'this is Michael Jordan.'

"I said 'come on, come on. Who is this really?' ... 'He said, this is Michael Jordan.' I said 'the real Michael Jordan?' That's kind of how it went."

Michigan and Nike signed a 15-year, $169-million deal - the richest deal in college sports - in July to outfit Wolverines athletics starting in 2016, which includes Jordan's "Jumpman" brand.

So Jordan took the opportunity ahead of the signing to call the head coach personally to discuss the possibility of the football team wearing the Jumpman logo in a unique way.

Harbaugh mentioned that his wife Sarah was dazzled by the phone call.

"It was really cool. Sarah (Harbaugh) was very, very impressed that Michael Jordan called me."

We are all impressed, Jim.
