Houston picks up commitment from 2016 4-star defensive tackle Jordan Elliott

Troy Taormina / USA TODAY Sports

Houston landed an unprecedented commitment from five-star defensive tackle Edward Oliver this week, and new head coach Tom Herman has landed another big defensive lineman to play alongside him.

Jordan Elliott, a four-star defensive tackle in the recruiting class of 2016, announced his commitment to Houston over Twitter on Friday.

Elliott, ranked as the No. 46 prospect in the 2016 class by ESPN, had been committed to Baylor before flipping to his hometown Cougars.

Herman's done a great job of piling up commitments from top prospects. Now it will be on him to keep those players committed until National Signing Day in February.
