Fainting Goat Friday: Flashback to when Arkansas State tried something new

Arkansas State may be the Red Wolves, but last season they were known affectionately for the Fainting Goat.   

Down by 13 points to Miami, wide receiver Booker T. Mays III emphatically grabbed his chest and fell backwards on a fake punt, mimicking various goats on YouTube.

The fainting goat found its way to the Red Wolves' by way of special teams coordinator Luke Paschall, inspired by a prank at North Carolina, head coach Blake Anderson told Sports Illustrated.   

While it was certainly entertaining, not only did the ploy fail (the pass was intercepted), it did not help Mays avoid getting rocked.
