Legal Roundup: 2 Temple players suspended after aggravated assault arrest

Arrests

Dion Dawkins Jr., OL; Haason Reddick, DL, Temple: Dawkins and Reddick were suspended from the Owls after they were arrested on aggravated assault charges. 

Aggravated assault in Pennsylvania can either be a second-degree felony punishable by a maximum 10 years in prison and a $25,000 fine, or a first-degree felony punishable up to 20 years in prison and a $25,000 fine *18 Pa. Cons. Stat. §§ 1101(2); 1103(3), 1103(2)

Delton Williams, So., RB, Michigan State: Williams was suspended indefinitely from the Spartans after he was arrested for allegedly brandishing a firearm.  

Brandishing a firearm is a misdemeanor punishable by a maximum fine of $100, and/or no longer than 90 days in jail. *MCL § 750.234e(3)

Arrest Updates

Graham Glasgow, RS Sr., OL, Michigan: Glasgow was suspended from the Wolverines after violating his probation by using alcohol.  

According the Glasgow's attorney, his probation has now been extended six months and he will be subject to additional monitoring. 

Davon Durant, JUCO transfer, LB, Arizona State: Durant's girlfriend reportedly recanted after accusing the Sun Devils outside linebacker of assaulting her in a vehicle.   

According to a statement made to ESPN, ASU student Kelsi Langley purposely made a scene with Durant the day of the incident because she was upset with messages from other girls on his phone and then lied to police, telling them that Durant had grabbed her neck and hit her face once.

Durant was suspended from the team after being arrested on allegations of aggravated assault and domestic violence.

NCAA Issues

Khari Harding, So., DB, Tulsa: Harding, who transferred from Auburn to the Golden Hurricane, became ineligible for 2015-16 gameplay because of an NCAA amendment to the hardship waivers.  

new NCAA amendment immediately disallows transferring student-athletes to apply for hardship waivers, therefore they will no longer become immediately eligible. 

Harding could retain two years of eligibility if he redshirts.
