Youngstown State head coach Bo Pelini may have burned his bridges at Nebraska with his strong remarks about the school's athletic director, but his new employer is ready to look past that issue.

Penguins athletic director Ron Strollo released a statement on Thursday in regards to the leaked audio that featured Pelini on an expletive-filled tirade regarding Cornhuskers athletic director Shawn Eichorst, according to Michael Bruntz of Huskers Illustrated.

Strollo stated:

Coach Pelini's remarks as reported are inappropriate and unfortunate. We have discussed the report with coach. We are confident that Coach will conduct himself accordingly moving forward. We will not be commenting any further on this issue.

Pelini was named as the Penguins new head coach on Dec 16. He was fired by the Cornhuskers on Dec. 1 after going 67-27 in seven years.
