TCU head coach Gary Patterson was named the Home Depot Coach of the Year on Wednesday.
Patterson led the Horned Frogs to a Big 12 co-championship title this year after an 11-1 season.
He was the Horned Frogs defensive coordinator for three years before taking the head coaching position. In 14 full seasons, Patterson has led TCU to nine 10-win campaigns. He is also the winningest head coach in TCU history at 131-45.
Sixth-ranked TCU plays No. 9 Mississippi in the Peach Bowl on New Year's Eve after the Horned Frogs were left out of the four-team playoff.
