Ohio State walk-on tackle missing since Wednesday

Greg Bartram-USA TODAY Sports

It's been two days since Ohio State defensive tackle Kosta Karageorge was last seen by his family or roommates.

There's still no sign of him.

His sister, Sophia, said her brother went for a walk around 2:00 a.m. ET Wednesday and was likely upset due to "extenuating circumstances," according to The Columbus Dispatch's Bill Rabinowitz.

“He did not take his motorcycle, and he does not have his car on campus," Sophia said. “So he was either picked up, went on foot or took public transportation. He does not have his wallet or any identification on him that we know of because his girlfriend has his wallet.”

Karageorge's mother posted a message to her Facebook account Wednesday, indicating she hadn't heard from her son in some time.

He has a history of sports-related concussions, Sophia said, and his family is concerned he may be suffering from the aftereffects of his most recent one.

"We’re very concerned that he’s not himself and that he maybe doesn’t know what’s going on,” she said. “But ... his repercussions from (the concussions) have been long-term or delayed later after the fact.”
