No. 24 LSU took down No. 3 Ole Miss in Baton Rouge on Saturday, claiming a 10-7 victory in a battle of SEC rivals.

LSU gained 264 yards on the ground against a stout Ole Miss defense. Freshman running back Leonard Fournette carried the ball 23 times for 113 yards, including some crucial carries down the stretch in the fourth quarter on the team's final scoring drive.

Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace completed 14 of his 33 pass attempts for 176 yards and a touchdown, but his final pass of the night was an interception.

Driving down the field in the game's closing moments in search of a tying field goal, Ole Miss elected to pass up a 48-yard field goal attempt with nine seconds remaining and throw the ball instead, but Wallace's throw to the end zone was picked off, sealing the Tigers' win.

The win for the Tigers came in spite of the fact the team lost the turnover battle 4-1.
