AP Poll: Alabama climbs to No. 4, Florida State stays at No. 2, Baylor falls to No. 12

Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports

Boy is it a good week to be an SEC team as Week 9's AP Top 25 poll saw the decorated conference reach a new milestone by becoming the first league to have four of its teams in the Top 5.

While Mississippi State, Florida State and Ole Miss remained atop the poll, there were plenty of notable shakeups.

First and foremost, Alabama moved up to No. 4 after embarrassing Kenny Hill and the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday while Auburn moved up to No. 5

In a season that's been ripe with upsets, Saturday's slate of games may have only yielded two, but Oklahoma and Baylor have now dropped to  No. 12 and No. 17 respectively.

After upsetting Baylor 41-27, West Virginia finds themselves in the Top 25 for the first time this season while LSU and UCLA clawed their way back into the AP Poll at No. 24 and No. 25 respectively.

Despite a perfect 7-0 record, Marshall only moved up two spots to No. 23.
